This race is run in a warm tropical paradise. So why wouldn’t you want to go?
The race started in 1968 by a group of friends with the local hotelier associations getting involved to help extend the visitors and tourist stays. The race week, as a result, has been rooted in having a party and festival atmosphere with a welcoming tourist resort feel.
The Fleet: The maximum number of yachts has previously peaked over 250 but more recently has settled to around the 100 mark with the mix of smaller yachts, super yachts and maxis.
When: This race is run in late April and/or early May each year. The race week starts on the last Sunday of April.
